Children’s Health

How much medication can you give a child? My son has 6 new teeth coming in, and is just miserable. Crying and saying Owie Mouth. Not sleeping well. So I've been alternating giving him infant tylenol and infant motrin (one dose daily, at bedtime). How long can/should we go on like this? I hope his teeth all come in soon!

Is Urinary Tract Infection or UTI hereditary? When I was pregnant with my son, I have a UTI. When he was a month old, he started crying before peeing. I had him for a checkup and the finding was UTI. I'm just wondering why he got that UTI at a very young age. Is UTI hereditary?

Does anyone know if drug allergies run in families? I have have a drug allergy to Dimatapp - when it was given to me when younger I had one pupil dilate and one pupil constrict. I was always told that If I had children it would have to be put as an allergy for them too. I know have a 10 mth old daughter and her family dr says that dimatapp will not be an allergy for her because I had the reaction not her. Is he right? I'm kinda scared to even chance giving it to her but the PCP says its ok. What does everyone else think? Thanks in advance for the helpDee
