I usually will take this drug daily when I find that I am having continuous allergic reactions to pollen or when I know in advance that I will be around a cat. However, when an allergy attack catches me off guard, I usually take other medicine that seems to work better but makes me very drowsy. Today I had a wonderful experience where my allergies hit me hard, but I was not able to take meds that would make me sleepy,so I took this one instead and within a few hours my allergy symptoms had nearly vanished. The only symptoms that was still botherin me was itchy eyes, but even that was greatly lessened.

I actually started taking this drug when my doctor prescribed it before it was OTC. My doctor recommended I take it at night because I was waking up in the morning with sinus pressure headaches. Excellent drug, does the job everytime.

I have been taking this drug on and off for ten years or so and have found that while it works ok, it could be a lot stronger and more helpful with my allergies. It is the best value I have found for the price though - I can get 300 tablets at Sam's Club for less than $10, so it makes it easier to deal with the fact that it does not exactly work as well as I think it should.
