Additional Comments:  This drug has helped me feel like getting through the day. Sometimes I feel a little light headed after I take it. The most negative aspect I have expirienced so far is that I have gained around 15 lbs since I started

Positive Aspects of Abilify:  Worked wonders for psychotic symptoms, no auditory hallucinations, mood elevated, felt great!

Negative Aspects of Abilify:  high rate weight gain (30 pounds in 30 days)

Reason for taking Abilify:  psychosis

Additional Comments:  Abilify is a wonderful antipsychotic except for the weight gain issue. If a person has no trouble with that aspect of it, this would be the drug of choice for treatment of psychosis and to elevate one's mood a bit. My pdoc wsa fearful I would become diabetic or have some other life threatening disease as result of the weight gain and d/c my Abilify after 30 days.

Reason for taking Abilify:  Anorexia and depression

Additional Comments:  While all previous reviews have listed weight gain as negative, in my case it is a positive. I am 5'5" and weigh 93#. I have anorexia. Abilify has helped to treat the depression that lead to my anorexia and is aiding me in putting on some much needed weight.

Positive Aspects of Abilify:  acts more quickly than other similar drugs when used as a mood stabilizer

Negative Aspects of Abilify:  expensive as heck

Reason for taking Abilify:  Bi-polar 1 mixed type

Additional Comments:  $480/month in the US for minimum 5mg/day dose.
