Is bug spray absorbed through the skin?

It's that time of year again and mosquitos are out in full force. I'm much more aware of chemicals affecting both our health and environment now. This made me wonder how much of those pesticides absorb through the skin, especially in our children?

There is a concern of late within regards to the chemical DEET in bugspray. Scientists say that Deet is absorbed promptly from the skin and distributed to all organs including the brain. This is terrifying! I would try to refrain from using DEET products unless absolutely necessary, especially for children!

Is there a difference is the benefits/side effects between ACE inhibitors and ARBs (angiotensin receptor blockers) to make the added cost of the ARBs (e.g., Diovan) a better choice?
