It's been a major disappointment.
I've been on thyroid medicine for some years now and been quite satisfied with the prescription brand Levoxyl. This year though, my insurance company decides to force me to buy a generic brand from their mail order company instead of from my local pharmacy where I've been getting it for years.
Why buy it from them I thought, why not compare prices on the Internet. Sure enough, CanadaDrugsOnline had a generic brand for the same price as my insurance co-pay. I ordered a three month supply.
About six weeks later on the generic brand I started noticing some of the old problems coming back. Dry skin, sore muscles, fatigue, etc...
Got a blood test. It confirmed the generic brand was not doing the job.
Got a new prescription. Ordered Levoxyl from CanadaDrugsOnline again. They advertised Levoxyl. My invoice says Levoxyl. I talked to a live person that confirmed I would get Levoxyl. They sent Synthroid.
I gave them a call. The help desk was friendly. They said a pharmacist will call me back. A pharmacist did call me back. He was arrogant, unresponsive, and felt compelled to give me a chemistry lesson over the phone. He could barely speak English. What was he giving me a chemistry lesson over the phone for? All I wanted was the correct order.
So, I don't know what to do. With all of the warnings about counterfeit drugs out there now, I think the safest thing to do is go down to my local pharmacy and pay full price for Levoxyl. About three times my insurance co-pay.
I hope you have better luck than I did.

I've used CanadaDrugsOnline longer than any other Canadian pharmacy, and they're great. I've been disappointed that they've ceased carrying some of my medications in the preferred forms, but overall they're still one of the best. I avoid generics when ordering from Canada, but I should point out I've occasionally received highly-ineffective generics from well-known U.S. pharmacies despite the claims of equivalency, so it can happen anywhere.
