Subject: | Chiropractic Care...Worth it or not? | |
I've seen a chiropractor for a good many years now and he has always seemed to help my back feel better. Granted if I lost a bit of weight it would probably feel even better than it does now. I know a lot of people are very skeptical about chiropractic care and say they don't do anything but mess up your back. I for one swear by chiropractic care to help me out but like with other medical professionals, you do need to find a good one that will help you out the best. What are your feelings? Chris |

My father who does not believe in parting with your money if you can get a better deal elsewhere has sworn by his chiropractic, he has constant back and muscle pains. He has had trouble locating a new one since he moved. I think it does help. |

The only thing I don't like about chiropractors is that they never seem to fix you. People that I know that go once always have to go back at least 3 or 4 times. They always end up getting sick of paying for it and end up worse off than they were before they started. |

I have a chiropractor who has been able to actually resolve many of the aches and pains that I have had. In addition to the adjustments, my chiropractor does deep tissue massage. Now, the massage part may sound nice, but he really gets in there and works the muscles to release the tightness. It's not the nice relaxing massage that you'd get from a massage therapist but it makes me feel better. |

I think it is unfortunate that this group of practitioners have gotten this bad reputation because so many scam artist pratice under their umbrella. I'm sure there are good ones but I've met more than a few that can't wait for accidents to happen. |

I started going to a chiropractor after my hips dislocated (as stupid as it sounds - I grew too fast and the hip joint dislocated and formed a false joint) and I love him, He was able to relieve the pain with the hip displacement, and also help with the migraine headaches I had from little up. The one I see is not one who says that you have to keep coming back to him. Now I may see him once or twice a year, just when I have pain. I have not had a migraine in 12 years, once I began seeing the chiropractor he was able to resolve that problem completely. The lower back pain just comes from the work I do and my daughter. I guess there are somethings that cannot be completely fixed. |

In some cases I think they are definitely beneficial. I also think it depends a lot on the actual chiropractor that you choose too. |
