What is the reason for itch?
|
|
My cousin suffers from some itch near her vaginal area, all kinds of tests were made and all tests seemed to be normal. It is hard to think about babies right now for them, what could be the reasons for itch?

Sometimes dryness in the area will cause itching. She might try some of the products available for treating vaginal dryness. Many older women have to use these after they've gone through menopause.

Has STDs been ruled out already? A pap smear should be able to help also. Most than one opinion would be a good idea. I know of cases where one doctor was treating the case as a fungal infection, but it kept coming back, another doctor treated it as bacterial infection and it cleared up.

Well she could of took a lot of tests and they were said to be normal, but there are A LOT of different types of STD's out there, also they could just not be showing up on the tests yet, it could be anything.
It also could be a vaginal infection, many different types of them also.
She should go to a gyno, they could help her out.
Also I had the same problem, I went to a gyno and got Hydrocortison cream, it works pretty well.

Wow-- this must be very uncomfortable and embarrassing. Doctor-- that is my advice-- there must be something that is causing itching. I know you itch if you have a infection (yeast or bacteria).
I was not aware that you itched if you were dry.
