Varicose Veins

I developed varicose veins when pregnant and they have been with me ever since-though I have also been overweight ever since. I am now losing that weight.

Can I hope to see a reduction in my varicose vein size?

I've minor reductions with improved lifestyle but I've never seen them do any better than that. My wife ended up having both the main veins in her legs stripped. Her family has a history of very large blood clots forming in the legs and then going somewhere else with very undesirable results. She has received injection treatments as well and it has helps but she does still have to wear support hose whenever she is going to be on her feet.

Are you positive you have varicose veins or just the spider veins that are common with pregnancy? Varicose veins should be discussed with you doctor as these can be serious if not careful. They can also be very painful as they get worse. Exercise may help a bit but there really isn't any way to do much about the appearance.

Well, you can try those elastic stockings that are use by women with varicose veins. I have a friend who has a lot of them and she uses the stockings and her legs do look better.

I think the stockings have been made to look better than they used to. You might try them to help your legs look and feel better.

I didn't know their was a difference in varicose veins and spider veins. I have what I thought were varicose veins, how do you tell the difference?

Do you know any cream to lessen varicose veins? I prefer the affordable brand but effective one.

What is varicose? I'd like to know what it so so that I know when I get pregnant to find ways to reduce getting it. Seems bad. Tell me about it please?

Yes they are definitely varicose but they are just two and they are tiny. Not the nasty stuff that you see on some people.

I have no symptoms from them-they just look ugly.
