Stress

Stress, while a mental affliction, can have many physical affects too. How do you keep these to a minimum when you cannot eliminate the source of the stress?

I try to get rest as best I can and that might sound odd but it works for me. I can crawl into bed with a patch over my eyes in a semi chilled room and a big blanket over me and Im fine when I wake up.

When I get stressed I start counting. I count slowly from 1 - 500 and I feel much better. I'm pretty sure this is some kind of yoga.

Laugh! They say the best way to reduce stress is to Laugh. I save all my jokes on e-mail and when I am having a bad day at work- I read through a bunch of them. Laughing really lightens your mood and relieves stress.

There are a lot of ways to reduce stress. One that works for me it so occupy my mind on something else (like soft music) while breathing deeply. This really helps me.

I'm curious, why can't you eliminate or reduce the source of stress?

I suffer from stress and anxiety attacks and have been advised by my doctor to take some herbal tablets to control my anxious behaviour. I have tried all sorts of things over the last few weeks, and they really are helping and they are helping me to sleep better.

Practicing yoga takes out the stress in me. During the yoga session, you must not think of anything.
