Sensitive Skin

As my mom went through menopause she suddenly became very sensitive to fabrics and the tags. Is this common and will hormone therapy help or not?

This also happened with my Aunt. I am not sure if the hormone therapy helped ot not though. Hopefully someone will be able to help on that point.

I've never heard of that. I would guess that if her skin became dryer and more sensitive then any rough material would bother her.

Good thing that there are clothing that is made without tags and made so the tags can be taken off easily.

I don't know if hormones will help this. I know a lady I work with- said she always feels dry- even her eyes-
She is going through menopause too.

Agreed-- good thing there are softer clothes and no tag clothes.

Menopause not only changes the behavior of estrogen, but estrogen plays a huge role in other hormone "loops", which influence the nervous system.

Changes with the skin's behavior are very common. Acne can return, and the nerves can become extremely sensitive.

Perhaps their is some sort of allergy medication that can help.
