Birth Control Patch and Weight

I have been on the birth control patch for over a year now (since the birth of my son) and cannot seem to lose the last 20lbs of pregnancy weight. I know the shot can slow your metabolism significantly. Can the patch do the same?

Don't you know that birth control medicine is bad for you. There are all kinds of dangers associated with these medicines. and honestly there are no long term test results from people who have used it for over 10 years......don't be the first. :(

You might want to check that with your physician, there might also be something else involved.

There are always side effects. Check with your doctor. I know there is certain drugs that slow weight loss.
I gsined 40 pounds with my son. I lost all of it + 5 so far. He is 4 1/2 months old and I was on the shot too.

I am not aware of any BC's that dont give weight gain, I think its something that just comes with the territory. I have a friend that has been on the pill, depo and mirena and I know for sure all three of those do.

Some birth control does put weight on if you are really concerned then seek help and advise from your GP.

Birth control meds fool the bod into believing you are pregnant, which is probably why you aren't losing the weight.
