When i wa sin training I had a perosn I ahd to deal with.
We compromised.
She felt it was the only way and I suggested low fat, low calorie foods but vitamins to maintain a bit of health. So, she compromised asn she was using kids vitamins with abotle of water three times a day. After about a week, she said she was hungry.
So we compromised again, low fat low calorie foods that she could eat without guilt. She was starting anorexia.
It was apln thatw orked good and as far as I knwo she still eats it.
I suggest convincing him to take at least vitamins and a bit of low fat low calorie solids. and see how he reacts.
ne study showed that many who were into the forced anorexia wer ein stressful image busting situations. Perhaps having him talk abotu what is bothering him could help with teh situation. The diet or act of starvation might be self punishment as well.

I have been in a similar situation but without success. I tried to convince my friend that she needed to make healthy choices but she would insist on starving herself. She is anorexic to this day. I do think that Jimmy has some good suggestions. Anything is worth a try to avoid the health risks involved with not eating.

Well, if your friend does really want to lose weight, he would have to work for it. Don't ever think starve is the way to do it as he will give up very soon. Ask him to eat more in the beginning of the day and lesser as the day progresses. And don't forget about those exercises.

In order to lose weight you have to eat. If you starve you will lose weight but as soon as you start eating again all the weight you lost will come back all at once.

It's easy to get into starvation mode. You lose weight and then think if you eat a little less you will lose more, and that goes on and on until you aren't eating at all.

Watch over your friend. Starvation is worse than being overweight. You lose a lot more than pounds.

I don`t know anyone who does this but I have read about anorexia. Your friend should know it can kill her not make her lose weight.
