I am starting a new way of life. Healthy eating and more exercise.
Anyone start this recently?
What did you change?

I have planned to change my lifestyle so many times I could not count. it is the same as going on a diet. it can be very difficult to stick with, especially if you haver days where you cannot get motivated.

I changed my lifestyle a few years ago. I managed to lose a lot of weight and I started walking. My sister did the same and she lost more weight than I did and managed to get rid of the diabetes that had been with her for 20 years.
Then she was diagnosed with colon cancer and both of us pretty much lost the momentum of that healthy life style.
When you think you've done so well but then get cancer, and you discover that even living a healthy lifestyle won't guarantee that you will be healthy, you kind of stop working so hard to become healthier.

Yep, it has been on my schedule for way too long. Even though I want to do it as soon as possible, I can't seems to get on with it. Maybe I need a companion or a partner to do it with me.

I am glad that you are changing your lifestyle. I hav as well and it is tough sometimes. I keep a journal on my progress for motivation.

A journal is a great idea. I think it would keep me on track. Do you write down what you eat too?
I'm really sorry about the cancer- that would stink- eating healthy and being healthy and then finding out you have cancer.

I made a radical lifestyle change several years ago and lost a lot of weight as a result. I now exercise regularly and try to eat more raw foods. I have my good weeks and bad, but make sure to get back on track. The more you do it, the easier it gets and the more natural it feels.
I must say though that consistency is the key which isn't easy if you have kids, a demanding job, etc. Seeking that balance is worth it though.
