How To Not Snack

If you find yourself dying for a snack at any time of the day and you know it won't be anything healthy, pop a Listerine Pocketpaks breath freshener into your mouth.

Buy it to give you fresh breath, but be sure to use it when you want to eat anything and you know you shouldn't. The main reason is that, although your mouth and breath taste and smells great, everything tastes terrible after you dissolve it in your mouth.

It's much easier and more convenient than brushing your teeth where the toothpaste makes all food taste bad. It comes in 4 great tasting flavors, but I find that a cinnamon strip does the job best of all.

There's no way you can eat anything as long as you still taste the Listerine!

Great idea, I will have to take your advice. As hungry as I am, my breath will be minty fresh all day every day.

That is a great idea, too bad Listerine is a little too strong for my taste buds though. :) I try and snack on some sugar free lozenges though.

Is this for real? It sure sounds easy enough to try and there's nothing to lose except you'll still have the craving for a snack nevertheless.

What of the risks of using too many-is this a laxative, or does it contain other chemicals? I would be wary of this off label risk without knowing what so much could do to me.

This sounds like someone made this up. It makes no sense. Why put one of those desolving listerine strips in your mouth. What good will it do except make your breath smell good? You will still be hungry.

It's totally true. I use it all the time. That's why I shared this tip. It's a quick way to stop putting a snack into your mouth. I have used it when I really want to stick to my diet, but I want to eat something. I have never had any reaction to it because the amount of Listerine in it is perhaps three drops. It's not a laxative, it's just mouthwash. Not even a half teaspoon.

Because the strips are Listerine, it dissolves in your mouth and it's a strong taste. It changes the taste of any food you would eat, much like toothpaste changes the flavor of food, making most things taste really bad after you use it.

Have you ever sipped orange juice after you brushed your teeth? It tastes really terrible.

The Listerine does the same thing. If you try and put food into your mouth the first few moments after you have it, food tastes horrible. That gives you enough time to realize that you shouldn't eat and ruin your hard work of sticking to your diet.

If you have ever dieted, you know that sometimes all you need is a few minutes for some hunger pains to go away. This gives you those moments to rethink eating and your diet is saved!

Try it, I has saved me from having a quick snack many times!
