Exercising

Everyone knows we have to exercise to lose weight and be healthy. How many of us exercise and what keeps you on a routine.
I exercise at the gym 4x a week, and I am so used to the regimen of going, that it is natural for me. When I don't go to the gym for a week or so, I would always begin to notice a decline in my stamina for the day.

I have my bicycle when I go to work. Less traffic, less budget, and great for my body. My workplace is about a kilometer from my home so I travel with my bike usually 2 kilometers daily.
Then on weekends, I go for long distance cycling, normally about 10 kilometers. This will make sure that my endurance and stamina is in good condition.

I am the same way. I have also found that when I skip out on the gym my diet goes with it. I find myself eating much un-healthier.

I try to do little things, like cut out one unhealthy snack or craving I have every month. First it was coffee, then one certain type of candy bar, then another, and so forth. The gradual wean off my bad habits has allowed me to stay away from them without shocking my mind into craving them. I also try to do little things like walk to get the mail, park at the back of the lot and walk to the store, ect. You would be surprised how great it has worked.

I know I need to exercise but have a hard time keeping consistent with it. I heard if you do something for 30 days in a row it will become a habit. Maybe I should try that.

Behavior modification is a proven psychological technique that may help with that extra "nudge". In college, I motivated myself to do more aerobic exercise by always leaving my basketball beside the door, making it not only easy, but a constant reminder that I could easily take it up the street and play for a few minutes. It worked.

I hardly do much exercise, just a few abs in the morning. I used to jog on a daily basis but that's a thing of the past, I just can't seem to get back into the schedule.

I just started working out at the office every afternoon for about an hour. I'm basically just on the treadmill for starters but will be moving on to some free weights soon.

I like to play basketball on the weekend and 1 day during the week.
I thinking finding something you enjoy that is active makes it easy to implement into your daily life...you will also probably sick with it longer.

I began working out regularly this past fall. I spent the year prior to that changing my eating habits. I try to go to the gym 3-5 times a week and average around 4 times. At first, it was all swimming. Then I added cardio machines. I just began strengthening training in January. Now when I can't get to the gym I'm very cranky.

I exercise probably four or five times a week, with a cardio routine on a jogging trampoline that lives in my kitchen. I follow it up with abs and thigh exercises, and this has contributed a lot to my current 23lb weight loss.

Yes, walking is easy to do and costs nothing. All you need is a good pair of walking shoes

That is true, a good pair of walking shoes would defiantly give you a better experience. Bike riding is another great form of exercising and all you need is a bike, no membership fees needed.

That is a great idea, a family bike ride. Now talk about health, how much healthier can you be to spend the day with your family, bike riding, laughing, enjoying all that nature provides. My family and I love to bike ride on the American Bike Trail, I actually look forward to Saturdays for the special two hours we spend biking the trail and playing in the river.

I need to exercise more. My deskbound job has made me so lazy that I have a ton of excuses for not exercising. I walk in the mornings on weekends but need to get some activities in.
