Boosting metabolism?
|
|
Anyone have any tips for giving your metabolism a jump start? I have seen all kinds of articles in magazines and online with different theories but I'd like to hear from people with actual experience and results. I know exercise helps and I'm working on that but I'd like to hear about other things.

It sounds off, but make certain that you never go hungry when on a diet. When you feel as if you are hungry all the time, your body interprets it as if there is no food around and that you are going through a time of famine. Then it reduces your metabolism in order to help you survive that famine.
Make certain to always stop hunger either by eating six small meals a day instead of three, or make sure to have plenty of vegetables available when you need something to eat.

Drinking green tea is really helping me. I understand that some caffeine will also help but caffeine tends to make me jittery if I have very much of it. Exercise is also helping me and is well known for increasing our metabolism as you already know. By the way, I had to make myself learn to like green tea and it took a while but now I look forward to it daily.

I boost my metabolism every morning by eating breakfast. It makes me get through my morning until lunch time. I also drink a lot of water too.

I have seen a lot of metabolism boosting programs and they almost all involve pills or teas that contain high amounts of caffeine. I think it is a scam to get money out of your pocket. I debate whether taking caffeine is a good idea. If you think it is okay why not just drink more coffee? It's cheaper.

There are many ways to boost your metabolism, many taking a while to actually give you a little boost, but by drinking ONLY water everyday will definitely help the most.
Also, fruits and vegetables always help everything, no junk food!

I heard that people who constantly move have a better metabolism!!
For example my husband, who never gains weight is always moving his legs when he is sat infront of the TV. He doesnt do it on purpose, its just one of those things he does.
