Subject: | Rare Quadruplets Born | |
Thought I would share this story, this is pretty amazing. A lady in Maryland has given birth to quadruplets and 3 of them are identical. There are less than 100 documented cases of this happening. Here's the link if you're interested: http://news.aol.com/health/story/_a/rare-quadruplets-born-3-identical/20080417193709990001 |

That is truly something. Could you imagine having that many babies in the house at one time? |

My fingers don't work today, I went to Alt Tab to something else on my computer and didn't get to finish saying what I wanted too.............freaky Friday. With them being born early its a wonder there were no issues with any births. Its great that they are doing so well and are home. Has anyone noticed the extra babies when you are doing fertility? |

Hey and amazingly one of those 100 cases is a family in our congregation! Only the identical triplets survived though, the fourth child dying at about a week old. And yes fertility treatment increases the odds of multiples. |

Wow, that's incredible. Imagine, having two embroyos implanted, thinking you'll be lucky if you have one take, and two would be a blessing, but you get four! |

I can't even begin to imagine the work with four babies at once. I took care of twin grandchildren while still working (long story) and the sleep deprivation was incredible. You'd have to have a really good family support network with four. |

Oh wow, that's pretty cool. Were they conceived naturally or was this the work of technology? Regardless, I bet they're so excited for them to finally arrive! |

The woman was implanted with an egg that divided. If this happened naturally I think you can call it rare, but with so many women being implanted with multiple fertilized eggs with the hope that at least one becomes viable, this is going to happen more and more. |

That is amazing. How does ONE woman hold more than one baby at once? I mean, I would think one is enough, don't you think? Well, for babies at once isn't even the record. I've heard the record was 16 BABIES at ONE time!!! That means, 16 babies in ONE womans stomach at ONCE. That is incredible! |
