Subject: | Pharmacy issue | |
I had a doctor write my Rx sloppy one day and while I fully understand the reason why the pharmacist questioned me, I do not understand the reason behind being so snooty about it. The woman just about jumped down my neck for forging the Rx. Rather that call me up by name to the counter, she decided to yell 1/2 way across an aisle. Any pharmacists out there, please tell me this is not normal practice. |

I've never heard of that before but then I always go to the same pharmacy, that is right near the doctor's surgery. They know his poor handwriting and are used to having to call for confirmation. |

I have seen others be questioned for the same thing but most times they would call the doctors office to verify it before acting so rude. |

This is definitely not normal practice. You have to realize, while most pharmacists are very intelligent, many of them have very poor people skills. I would also guess that you were at a chain drug store. Many of the pharmacists who work at such stores are very stressed and very unhappy with their jobs. As a result, they can sometimes treat their patients rather poorly. In my opinion, you should find another pharmacy where the pharmacists won't treat you like this. I fully agree there. I've always used a small, local pharmacy, and had wonderful service. Always able to get advice when I needed it, and they were pleasant and polite. I wouldn't return for bad service like that. |

Oddly this is one that I have used for at least five years now so I was a little shocked. The only one that I know 100% is (decent and) normal, is the man who works the early morning shift. I once got there early with the chain down and he said to slip it under the chain and he will fill it at soon as the computer booted up. This lady was just really having a bad day or something. And the store its in not really a big store so i am not sure who you would complain to. |
