Postpartum return of menstration?
|
|
How long was it before you got your period back after your baby was born? With all my others it was about 2 months after starting solids, so between 6-9 months post partum. My youngest is fixing to turn 2 in 6 weeks and still no signs of aunt flow. I've wasted so much money on pregnancy tests it isn't funny!

Have you asked your OB/GYN about this? So, basically your saying your youngest has been on solids for 1 year and you haven't had a cycle?
Seems a little off to me. Definitely need to talk to your doctor.

Wow! 2 years without your period? Have you gone to a gyno or just a regular doctor? If they don't have an answer for you, look at your age. You could be going through menopause. Oddly right after a pregnancy but it is possible. But I'm not sure it would depend on your age (which I obviously don't know!)

I'm 28. I sure hope it's not menopause!
I see a midwife, whom I've just talked to over the phone. She assures me it's normal. My baby nurses a lot for his age. And all night too. She said if I want it back, I could night wean... but I'm not that desparate! I don't want to get pregnant right yet.

Mine came back within a few months, I guess because I wasn't nursing as often as I wanted to. It came back the same pain and grief that I had gotten accustomed to not having.

Mine came back within 2 months and became regular from there again.I wasn't able to breastfeed so I know that made a difference. Luckily I didn't have to much pain or that.I was told that when your breastfeeding it can delay it comming back sooner.I'd defintly get checked just to make sure. That seems like a long time not to have it yet.

I breast fed for the first 3 1/2 months. I just started spotting 2 weeks ago at 4 months.
