IVF

My partner and I are applying for IVF treatments. I have poly-cystic ovarian syndrome and have just had laparascopic surgery for endometriosis and the only way we're going to get pregnant is with IVF assistance.

Can any one give me an idea of what I'm in for?

There is alot to IVF, but a pretty comprehensive report of what goes on can be found here on Wikipedia.

Hope this helps.

I've found, when in doubt, do a full Internet search on it. That way you can take your time trying to really understand all your options. And you get differing views in it too, which can help you clarify exactly what you want to ask your doctor when you see him/her next.

Get Googling!

Good luck!

I think the process can be difficult. I have a friend who is on her 12th IVF treatment, and has not had any sort of success so far. You have to be prepared for all that it will throw at you both mentally and physically. I wish you all the luck in the world!
