HPV Vaccine

Everyone around me is still talking about getting the shot themselves or having their daughters get it. I've always been a bit wary of vaccines in general, so for this to be catching on like wild fire, I'm a bit hesitant. Has anyone heard of negative side effects of the vaccine or any vaccinations gone terribly wrong?

I got this off the Internet:
Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today released documents obtained from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act, detailing 1,637 reports of adverse reactions to the vaccination for human papillomavirus (HPV), Gardasil. Three deaths were related to the vaccine. One physician’s assistant reported that a female patient “died of a blood clot three hours after getting the Gardasil vaccine.” Two other reports, on girls 12 and 19, reported deaths relating to heart problems and/or blood clotting.
I would not let my child have this shot until a lot more study has been done on it.

Thanks skatss. I like to be presented with all the facts before participating in this kind of program. It seems to me that more and more often the medical profession with the help of government and the media like to stampede us into doing things without our really knowing what we are getting into.

It really is worrisome how quickly this was pushed through, and the fact too that it is being fast tracked for use in boys. No drug should be allowed to cut corners.

Oh geez!! I hadn't heard anything about those at all, so I'm really glad I asked now. Thanks for copying that over. I'll definitely be passing it on to friends. I know there are side effects to everything, but I think they'll want to be aware of the possibilities with this vaccine.

I had the shot myself. I have no side affects(that i know of) I think the risk out weighs the risks.
