I love to read my bible. I don`t go to church anymore but thats too long of a story about why. But I try to read my bible every day. Recently I started from the begining again. hehehe It brings me a peaceful feeling. Even though I don`t attend church I know God is still with me.

I know what you mean.

I somtimes am so moved by the ideas and contemplations and stories.

Its amazingthat on some really bad days the right thought comes along and makes you feel so calm. I am not sure about you, but teher are times I feel as if when i am reading or studying that he is right over my shoulder like a comforting grandpa.

I would have to agree with you both. I have found that it is a real life saver when you need it the most and never seems to change in it's message.

I agree totally. In fact, I've been reading the bible like a book--starting from Genesis. I've been "corrected" by others from doing that, but I believe it was necessary. I wish I had started reading it earlier in life--I would have handled some things differently. I'm hoping to find a good bible study group soon.

Some people believe the bible is not relevant today, but that is so untrue. In fact, I find it fascinating that so much that's mentioned in the bible can be seen in daily life. History does tend to repeat itself.

The best Bible to read is a study Bible. It really helps you understand God's word and apply His truth to your life :)
