Why is it that when you pray for someone who is sick some people recover and others don`t? This has always bugged me. |

Lilbit- I like to think that our prayers work. I'm sure people will tell you they do. God does things for a reason- so if they don't help 1 person- it's because it was meant to be that way. I'm not sure this even made sense. Sorry! |

Prayers should be said to make yourself feel better and to send good vibes to another person. Hoping to get what you want is a bit simplistic. Like the old saying goes, our prayers might be answered, but sometimes the answer to our prayers is a resounding NO. |

If I can assure you that your prayers will be answered every time, I will be God! And God will surely be real busy in making sure all the prayers in the world are being fulfilled. |

We may pray that someone gets better and if it is not their time to leave this world, they will. However, I believe that we all have a predetermined time we are meant to pass on and if it is that time for someone, they are going to go regardless of what we do. Not trying to force my beliefs on anyone at all, but that is just my personal opinion. |

I agree we have a predetermined time on this earth and certain prayers are answered and others are not. Only god really knows. |

I have come to the point of praying for the sick person to either get well or God please if your going to take them don`t let them suffer for a long time. Take them now. |

Lilbit, I know that God hears all of our prayers, however, sometimes the answer is no. He has a reason 4 everything, it just isn't for us to know his reasons........... |

God does hear our prayers. I believe we need to have faith that His decisions, whether "yes" or "no", are for our good in the end. |

We pray for teh sick so thattheiro good deeds will eb written and a tzaddik( man of righteousness) can interceded on his behlaf to count his deeds and good works. In what I nknwo as scientific proog theer is an aura sharing that happens when people pray for one another. you can see it grow and join with the ill. like sharing energy. some energy though doent always work to bind. This was one of teh thinsg teh Kirlian photography showed. It does work for many. j |
