Subject: | Fasting | |
I occasionally fast for religious reasons mainly. Nothing spectacular 24 hours at a time never more. Gives me a chance to really focus and clear my head. I find that afterward for a few days I am really invigorated. This only happens if I do it infrequently, as in a few times a year. If I do it more often I don't get that particular physical benefit. |

I attempted a three day fast back when I was really involved with church but I got really, really sick. Turns out I am hypoglycemic but didn't know it until my sugar dropped off the charts. |

I am not able to do a complete fast due to health issues. However I do find it beneficial to do a partial fast - no solid foods only fruit juices, tea and water. This allows me enough nutrients to maintain my blood sugar level plus the benefits of a fast. |

While partial fasts are good for those who for medical reasons cannot do a complete fast, they are not as beneficial to the body's cleansing as a complete fast. |

What is the safe time needed for someone to fast for? This has always confused me, along with if its healthy or not. |
