We're not religious people, we are spiritual but we aren't Christians. But I am missing the feeling of community that other people get from attending church. For those of you who aren't religious, have you found any kind of "replacement" for church community?

yes I have. My friends that share my belief systems. Most of us live far apart but we communicate of the internet on a regular basis.

Have you tried looking for some adult classes on subjects that you feel is important and spiritual? As long as you find a few people who share your feelings and some beliefs, you can start to make your own community, share in one that is already around and learn about places where you can go to start to find more people who you have things in common with.

I have always found that adult classes can be a great way to find out about other people in your location who share your interests.

I am religious, but do not attend church. I volunteer within my community and attend playgroups with my youngest child. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people.

I no longer attend church. I have CDs of the Christian music that I love and I play those a lot. I have a friend that also believes as i do.

Many times you can find the community you are looking for by asking around. I am sure their is some where you live that are outside the church.

Well, joining the local tai chi class makes me feel like I am a part of their community. We laugh, eat and share many jokes together. Isn't this a good life?
