Could Herpes be One Culprit?

Viruses cause all sorts of health problems, ranging from heart disease to cancer.

I wonder if doctors will see a jump in new arthritic conditions in people who have been exposed to Herpes Simplex II, AKA Genital Herpes?

Is it true that cold sores are a form of herpes too? I just can't see how that is possible.

Not all cold sores are from herpes, but I believe it is a related disease that causes the more common cold sore. since we haven't presumably seen a jump yet I'm not sure we will ever.
