Babies switched at birth

Hunter Allen Bathon and Riley Howard Spencer were switched at birth, their moms both had eerie premonitions when they were handed their babies but said nothing, later at home they were called up and told. She sued of course.

Shocking-this is the kind of thing that makes up the nightmares of pregnant women. And what's worse is that this is still happening today, rather than being put out of our mind fifty years ago. The hospital in question should be ashamed.

I can't believe such things are still happening in this day and age. Every hospital that I know of has instituted safety precautions including putting those paper bands on the baby's wrist so there won't be mix ups. I hope the suit wakes up the hospital personnel.

This is one those stories that really frightens anyone who is going to a hospital to give birth -- or to have anything done! What other mistakes can they make?

But the idea of a mistaken baby being given to the family is the saving grace when kids get angry at their family and dream that their parents aren't theirs. LOL

I'm just happy the mistake was found out. I also hope that the hospital won't make that kind of mistake anymore.

Most I know now when having a baby at a hospital are to wear a band (child wears on arm and foot) and parents are to never tamper with them for this exact reason.

I just watched the news link.

That would be terrible!

If I ever found out I was switched at birth, I would go crazy! I don't know what I would do. That would be weird and awful.

Also, if the hospital ever messes up when I have a baby and switches my baby, someone is gonna pay!

Especially finding out years later, that would be heart-breaking. =/
