A friend whose son has Duchenne's MD sent that article to me. I really hope we see a cure before her sweet Andrew is completely wasted by the disease. I'm so glad to be living in the time we are, with all these cures so close they are nearly obtainable.

This is the main reason why I support the idea of stem cell research. I know there is a lot of controversy from pro-lifers but I figure that the abortions are happening whether we like it or not. At least something good can come out of it.

I think too many people are hung up on what is wrong with stem cell research and should focus on what is right! I don't see a single problem with it as long as it helps someone like your friend's son!

As far as stem cell research goes, we are finding out there are stem cells in so many things other than just fetuses, that do not carry the ethical implications. The US is falling behind on this important research.

Well I pray for his sake that he lives to see the cure while he can still benefit from it. It is amazing the new research that we are stumbling upon here recently.
