Subject: | Some Video Games Improve Vision | |
I stumbled across a very interesting article on how action video games have the benefit of improving the player's vision. I thought it was fascinating. Here's the link: http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/actionvideogamesimprovevision |

Interesting article. As a parent it is a little comfort that all this time my kids spend playing is not totally detrimental to their well being. I just don't want them to see this article. They have enough excuses already. |

That is fascinating and it does make sense actually. I know some video games have been known to cause serious problems with seizures in some people. So it's good to know they also do good things for the vision. Now I can explain my video gaming to people lol- just trying to improve my vision through Resident Evil 5! |

Games are good for a kids hand/eye coordination as well. You would be surprised that there are quite a few positive aspects to video games-- most people are surprised to learn that they don't turn you into incompetent zombies like some would like you to think. lol |

I wouldn't put too much stock in one study, guys. There have been too many that show the harmful effects of overdoing video games to be offset by one study which doesn't prove anything. |

It might be good for the eyes but children who sit in front of computers all day playing games tend to be unhealthy and often get obese. That is not good. I can't imagine that it is very good for adults to be cloistered in a room all the time with a computer either. |
