Really simple idea here...... legalize all the illegal drugs and you save 60 billion a year in the USA alone. Convince all the major countries around the world to do so and you save trillions probably.

Also you would dry up one of the most profitable black markets the worldwide terror networks are using to create money to operate with.

Kill 2 birds with one stone I say :)

Artificial sweeteners are the devil, but let's make all illegal drugs which we KNOW to kill many people, to have horrible addictive effects, to split entire families and bankrupt people, let's make them legal!

Part of the problem with the argument is that it only legalizes drugs in the US. Al Qaeda, for instance, makes a lot of money on the heroin trade in Afghanistan. Yeah, it'd be legal here in the US, but they'd still make their money there. It'd just be cutting out a chunk (albeit a large one!)

I'm not advocating legalizing drugs but for the record, BabeRuth, the effect drugs have on society might be minimized by making them legal. Then Uncle Sam gets to regulate and tax the death out of it which defeats the purpose of getting rich quickly for the drug dealers. It would, in effect, take a lot of the incentive out of the drug trade.

Artificial sweetners are mostly regarded as safe by the majority of people and this that is simply wrong. Don't get in a logic fight with me. lol you won't win babe. I've researched the harmful additives that are in foods for 2 years now and I have a ton of science to back me up and the political reasons why the science is being ignored as well.

People do not do drugs because they are illegal. Get a clue it is a crutch to not have to deal with reality and then the next thing you know you are hooked.

I'd be more apt to accept immediate death sentences for those caught distributing them and or involved in the making and distribution. Then you would see an immediate decline in the money changing hands without further jeopardizing today's youth. .
