I was reading today that some people are taking this month to get a little more hearth savy, and one of those ways is keeping track of what you are eating and cutting out the bad oils, as they said "Get an oil change". How many others are involved in ways like this to eat and live smarter? |

I've tried for a long time to do only healthy oils. That has meant nut and olive oil, rather than the unhealthier vegetable varieties, and trying to eat plenty of fish. I add flax seed to my porridge too. |

I thought you were talking about healthy under 3 year olds when I saw this topic, not healthy hearts! There is really so much that you can do to take care of your heart, apart from just healthy oils, but yes, fish is good for the heart and the brain, as are other sources of omega 3s. |

I don't do anywhere near as much as I should, I realise that. But I just don't seem to have the time needed to prepare healthy food to take to work, so I end up eating on the run. Poor excuse I know. |

I never really thought much about it until I had my first EKG I think its called? It wasn't really bad but the doctors did tell me I needed to start taking better care of myself since I have a heart defect, so since then I just try to spread the word when I can. And yes, we prefer all to be healthy under and over the age of three. :) |
