Subject: | Doctors Remove Inoperable Tumor | |
Did anyone read about this? Apparently, this lady had a tumor entangled in arteries and down so far in her abdomen it was considered inoperable. However, doctors took out her stomach, pancreas, spleen, liver and large and small intestines. Chilled the organs while they took out the tumor then put the organs back in. Now this lady is 3 weeks out from the surgery and doing fine. Here's the link if you want to read it: http://news.aol.com/health/story/ar/_a/doctor-removes-organs-to-reach-tumor/20080325091609990001?ncid=NWS00010000000001 |

The wonders of medical science. I really feel I owe a lot of gratitude to all these people who have dedicated their lives to giving people a hope. Hope against all the odds sometimes. |

That was really amazing. But I am not very optimistic about this because most operations will have complications.Even if the doctors have fixed something from that lady, in a matter of months, she will have some complications. Thinking that about 5 of her organs are remove is sufficient enough for me to be pessimistic about her better health after operation. But I still wish her better luck and good health. |

Really, this is an amazing story. But I agree with Ryan, to have such a complex surgery one would think further down the line there would be some sort of complications. |
