Subject: Dizziness

My husband did a medical yesterday and was told by the doctor that his blood pressure was low. It was at a detrimental low. Today he was feeling so dizzy he had to lay down at work for a while, his coworker called a few minutes ago to find out if he was ok. I am wondering if he should go back and get checked out.

Has he ate or drank anything recently? Sometimes when mine has been low its b/c I have not eaten enough yet and I get dizzy spells.

He said he ate roundabout eight, that was my concern since he is a picky eater, but this time he did eat. He is feeling better now.

Personally I would at the very least call the doctor and make him aware of the situation. This could be a very serious situation and should be monitored closly.

I think he should really have a complete physical done including an EKG and a complete metabolic blood panel. They can also do something called a "tilt table" test to check his response to change in body position. They do this while watching his EKG and his blood pressure. He does need further work up and I would really press the doctor to do more.
