Blood Test for prostate cancer?

I've read some where (and can't remember where) that some Drs are offering a blood test that is supposed to help detect prostate cancer so you don't have to go through the "finger wave" for your physical. Has anyone else heard of this or had it?

I've heard radio commercials or some such about this but don't know anyone who has had it done. I wouldn't rely on it without reading the supporting trial information. It does give hopes of other cancer tests through blood tests.

Blood test could have possibilities if it could detect the cancer at an earlier stage than the "finger wave". I would much rather be save than sorry especially if I was considered at risk.
