I love children. They can teach us so much about getting along with one another. My nephews are 4 and 7 and they are a handful. It amazes me that I can spend half a day breaking up fights and squabbles and the other part of the day watching the brother who just declared "I HATE my brother" make sure that I don't forget his brother when it comes to mealtime, snacktime or just when I'm passing out a round of hugs. Kids are so forgiving. The fight happened. It's over. Time to move on. What inspires you about the children around you?

I have four children, and I tell you, it's a miracle to watch them growing and see how they are fascinated and amazed by the things we take for granted. I try to capture a tiny fraction of the wonder they feel.

I think that the thirst for knowledge and the inventiveness for play are what inspire me most. No adult that I know has the same level of enthusiasm for either.

I have one, and he totally amazes me everyday. He acts so smart and caring at times. He's 2, and if I am doing something and seem to have gotten hurt, he hurries over and hushes me, he is so sympathetic. When he was younger, he would cry whenever he sees other babies crying. Now he just looks sad, and tells them 'hush'.

Children can teach us sometimes more than we are willing to accept at the first glimpse. I am still surprised daily at the little things I learn and have sometimes taken for granted (like working less & playing more).

One thing that always amaze me is their ability to forgive. Even if you have just scolded them, they tend to come back to you, rubbing on your cheek or something like that, us adults could learn a trhing or two.
