Gall Bladder and Weight Loss

I am learning suddenly of the downsides of losing weight. In the past 16 weeks I have lost 32lb, and suddenly I find myself experiencing gall bladder attacks. Never had them before and honestly never experienced pain like this.

If you suffer them, what triggers yours? And what foods are safe for you?

I had my gallbladder removed the end of February because of those attacks. Stress and fats seemed to trigger mine but sometimes they would happen for no logical reason at all. I feel much better now and have lost a few pounds since I had my gallbladder removed.

Losing weight will often bring on problems with the gall bladder.

Too many times people just get rid of all fat in their diet when they try to lose weight. When your diet tells you to have oil or butter with your meal -- eat it. If you don't, your gall bladder will definitely give you problems. It will start to over act up and you will get the pains and it might even get worse.

I lost a lot of weight a few years ago and everyone told me that my gall bladder would probably act up. I always had those beneficial fats with my food and thank goodness, I never had a problem.

I have not forsaken fats completely, but rather have been including healthy fats such as olive oil. The gall bladder got bad, and I started having attacks when I ate pork.

So far I have been ok since, having gone back to my healthy diet again. I guess I am just destined to never eat pork again!
