This is just another drug to add to the list we talked earlier about: /hot-topics-food-and-drug-administration/fda-deadlines-may-impact-drug-safety-225

If the reports are true and the drug does change your mood or behavior then this is a huge oversight and you can expect to see major backlash just like Vioxx because the drug has been out for 10 years...pretty scary.

Wow, each time I see these post they make me cringe because I have been consuming some of these drugs. I have not experienced any adverse effects so far, but then some of the symptoms do not show up until years later.

I can believe it, with all this drug induced medication these days, I mean it doesn't surprise me the affects that it have on people.

These kinds of notices are really scary and it leads one what is going on. You're right, these are not new drugs and they have being pretty widely used.

I think that we need to do more genetic research.

I've taken Singulair for years with no bad effects (that I can tell). Thing is, for asthma, **everything** has the side effect of increasing anxiety. And increasing anxiety makes asthma worse. And an asthma attack increases anxiety.

Fometerol, on the other hand, hit me so hard I cannot use it. I could not stop yelling at people, even when inside I was not thinking angry thoughts.

We don't know enough about the differences in how each of our systems metabolize various chemicals to assume that one size will fit all.

I think it's pretty sorry when drugs have been out for so many years and then it's "discovered" that they aren't safe. I thought safety is what the FDA testing was all about....prior to the release of a drug.

Seems like a lot of medications are like that now. Kinda scary.
