Food dyes

I am hearing and reading all about how many are trying to avoid using certain food dyes, but I'm not really sure where to begin on this. It seems to make sense, but I'm pretty sure I have been ingesting them long enough that its possible there could be issues from it and I'm wondering how this will effect my current food bill finding foods and drinks w/o it.

I don't know which ones either, for the most part I just try to avoid all of them. It's very difficult though because it seem as if almost everything has dye in it.

I think most of the products have food coloring on it. Some of us might neglect its
implications. It is indeed has hazardous effect on people's health . It aggravates Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) that affect 3-5% of the overall population. The deficiency is characterized by short attention span, forgetfullness, impulsivity and distractibility.
Not all food coloring are artificial. There are also natural food coloring such as caramel coloring, annatto, cochineal, beet juice, turmeric, saffron, paprika. These natural food dyes are being produced commercially.

When artificial dyes are used their names usually reflect that they are chemicals because the name will be something Blue Dye # 4.

I'm not so sure that your food bill will take a big hit if you try and not buy foods that are processed and try to buy more foods that are plain foods that are not fooled with.

You can eat many unprocessed foods and be safe, like plain rice, vegetables and whole grain breads and cereals. It's when you buy prepared foods, like children's' cereals and processed dishes and such, where you usually spend more anyway.

It is simplest to prepare all of your own food from scratch if you want to avoid all dyes found in food, which we may all be doing anyway if food price go much higher.
