Subject: | Woman caught on video spraying her child at carwash | |
This video has caused quite an uproar. The woman was arrested and thrown in jail. Here is her side of the story. So what do you think, should she have been arrested, or is everyone over-reacting? |

She sprays a high pressure water hose into her daughters face and neck...this is clearly abuse. I don't care if the child is having the worst tantrum in the entire world...there is no excuse for abusing her daughter like she did. Maybe the reason why she throws tantrums in the first place is due to the fact that she has been abused before; I bet you anything the mother has been abused before as well. This is a very sad an unfortunate incident and I hope the judge forces her to go to counseling. Maybe then she we realize what she has done and end the awful cycle. You can never solve anything situation with a negative reaction, period. |

She acutally claims that the high pressure wasn't on (you know how you have to squeeze the handle for the water to blast out). Regardless of whether or not it was high or low pressure, it was abuse. The fact that she tries to rationalize her behavior shows that she lacks remorse and the ability to parent properly. |

That is horrible. In the first video it looks like she just came to the car wash just to spray her child. Because you see her pull in, get out, put change in the pressure washer and then she sprays her child in the face. I am a mother of 3 and I would never let my self lose control because it is our resonsibility as parents protect our children not harm or emotionally scare them. My heart goes out to that child and to the mother; I hope she learns from this. |

"You can never solve anything situation with a negative reaction, period." I don't think that could have been said any better. I wish more people would think before they act. Does she really think that isn't bad? Is she insane? Of course she would not do it again knowing there are videos there. That girl is going to grow up and remember that, I don't think many kids would forget something like that. If she is willing to use a hose on her child, where is the ending point? |

I hadn't seen this yet, so I was expecting an older child or maybe that she just did a quick splash on her as a warning. I was playfully sprayed with the carwash hoses before and it wasn't a big deal, but this kid is really young and it looks like the mother was really upset and took it too far. |

If she did that to her in public, only God know what she does to her in the confines of her home, she should be made to do a lie detector test to see if she abuse her. |

This is awful what kind of person would do something like this to their own child. When I first saw it on the news I thought to myself that poor girl. |
