Do you remember the urban legend about the gang initiation where gang members would drive at night with their lights off, waiting for someone to flash their lights at them, so they'd then follow the person who flashed their lights and shoot at them? It was in the movie Urban Legend.

Well I received an email that suggested that was actually happening now, and I'm not sure how to take it. The email came from an acquaintance who's a retired police officer, and the forwarded email supposedly came from an RCMP officer.

Have you received anything like that?

I vaguely recall seeing an email like that and I'm wondering if it's one of those cyclical emails that from time make the rounds. Still it's scary enough to not shrug off lightly, there are some crazy people around.

What with all the other horrible things being planned and happening today, if it's in emails I'd also expect that any sociopaths who were doing this would also be getting it on film and uploading it onto the Internet

I still can't get over how horrible and sick the group of girls are who filmed their beating up of another girl to show proudly on the Internet. They beat the girl so badly that she had a concussion and her eye socket is damaged -- and these monsters planned it and had multiple video angles to show the beating.

I wouldn't put it past the idiots around today to follow the movie and do the same thing. I just think they'd boast about it and post a film of it online.
