Subject: | Too much humidity in the home. | |
I live in a very poorly built home and we have constant problems with humidity. Probably the worst issue is mold and mildew. We try to control it some with a dehumidifier but I find that is only a partial solution. What kind of health issues can this cause for the people living here? |

I believe that some people, with breathing issues especially, can have trouble with mould. I have also heard it claimed that its a myth and that it causes no problems. But certainly its ugly and messes up your house, so you need to get it under control. |

I am sure that mold is not healthy to bring into your lungs even when you think its just a little. Have you spoken with a doctor about this, maybe one that works primarily with lung issues in patients? |

It sounds like the dehumidifier that you have been using is a little too small for the size job you need it for. What size room are you trying to take care of? |

There is a product available over the internet that attaches to your air conditioner and dehumidifies your whole house. I've never tried it and don't know anything about it except what is mentioned on their website. The product is called Veri-Dry. You can find out more about it at http://dry-air.com/VeriDry.asp. It does not mention cost but there is a place for you to request a quote. |
