It can be very difficult to get an undisturbed nights sleep when it is so hot. The best thing we eveer bought was a ceiling fan which hangs above the bed. It is a good quality one so it doesnt shake or make too much noise either.

I just position a fan directly on me and that usually helps. We also have an air conditioner in our bedroom, which does wonders as well!

I also find it too hot to sleep. On top of that, I start to imagine that there is no air and suddenly I find that I can't breath!

The things that help are using a fan that covers my whole body: one on the left that flows air over my waist down and one on the right that gets air to my face.

I also have a small spritzer filled with water that I use to get a fine spray of water on my face and neck. I then use a hand fan to evaporate the water off. It feels cooler.

I also take an ice pack to bed and put it on my head.

I also have a cool drink at my side at all times.

I am still looking fondly towards winter!

I hate sleeping when it is real hot. Luckily for me I have central air which helps out a lot. It gets expensive to use it so a window fan is something I turn to.

I have issues sleeping alot due to the fact we have no Air Conditioning. On top of that we had a pretty bad storm last night and our electric was out because one of the transformers was hit by lighting, so needless to say I DID NOT SLEEP the whole night, which I did not even try. I couldn't even stay in my town house. I basically stayed outside all night and until about 9:30 this morning. IT SUCKED!

I don't sleep well all the time since I need all quiet before I can stay asleep. Lately I have been too hot or too cold to sleep, this with an A/C running and having a huge blanket for backup.

We lived in a house without air conditioning, and it would get way too hot in summer, impossible to sleep. We would take large towels, wet them with cold water, and then use them as blankets. This really helped!

I use some body spray stuck in the fridge to mist myself. Using it too much could dry the skin out but for a quick refresher its heavenly. A shower is also often helpful to clean off the pollen and sweat from the day which might keep me up. We have a fan set either to suck the cold air inside or shove the warm air out. We do have an AC now but I used to live on the third floor without anything but a box fan so I can survive.

I also cannot sleep when it's too hot. When it's really warm out we make sure the A/C is turned on about 3 hours prior to us heading to bed. This really cools down the bedrooms.

We also use fans- I like the box fans. I have 1 at my head and we use a ceiling fan as well. The ceiling fan pushes the cooler air around.

I also always take an ice water to bed with me- It's on my nightstand. When it's really hot and nothing works- I shower and go to bed with wet hair. Usually the fan blowing on my wet head cools me down.

I know this sounds a bit odd but sometimes it is just hte falling asleep that is a problem and I will get my socks a bit wet and a wet wash cloth for my forehead and sleep with a fan pointed at me. That allows me to get to sleep at least.

The same problem in our place. It's very hot nowadays. I feel like I'm inside the oven. I'm planning to visit USA during winter season. I guess it feels good to sleep in a cold climate.

It has been terribly hot here lately! During the day my air conditioning is cranked up to the max and it still only keeps a couple rooms bearable to be in. At night we run the air until around 2 or 3am just to keep the whole house a little cooler. I also end up running two fans in my bedroom all night. Still yet, I end up throwing the covers off until I wake up early the next morning chilled to the bone. My electric bill has been as bad this summer as it is in the winter. How I wish I had central air...
