I remember as a kid that my step brother/half brother (which is which?) ended up bringing me an ALF stuffed toy when I was really sick. I must have had "the worst flu" ever that year and I just remember him bringing me the darn thing and I ended up just laying in bed for what felt like a week. What is the sickest you have ever been?

Had this recurring tonsillitis that came to haunt me at least once a year. Finally regular antibiotics did not seem to do anything for me. My doctor gave me some super antibiotic. Don't remember what the stuff was but it knocked that bug out and it never came back. He joked at the time that if it didn't work I should invest in a plot in the cemetery. Why do I get the doctor with the macabre sense of humor?

I had some kind of illness one time and I couldn't stand up. My blood pressure had dropped so low that I passed out every time I so much as sat up-I had to be helped to get to the loo even!

It was pretty rough, probably the most I have been knocked off my feet.

I'd have to say it's a toss-up for me between two different times. Back in the early 80s, I caught what they called the Asian flu (it was new to the US then) and it was horrible. I was sick for three weeks with that. Then when I was 18 or 19, I got tonsillitis for the one and only time in my life and that was really bad. I literally could not even swallow my own saliva because it hurt so bad. I lost about ten pounds before the antibiotics got rid of it.

I am just started to get a stuffed up nose and while most times this kicks in only during the pollen season (and what a lovely season that is...) in the past five years or so its started to sweep any season.
