I am not a fan of sleeping pills, simply because of the possible side effects. I have never tried them and always look for alternatives to sleeplessness and perhaps look at what is causing me to loose sleep in the first place. |

Don't take them even if you can't fall asleep. It can be addictive and who know what might happen when you takes them regularly. Get yourself a glass of milk as it will make you sleep easier. |

I take them each night to help me sleep. When the Dr first suggested them I was afraid becoming addicted as well but the Dr told me that if it is something you are worried about and are conscious are then you have a better chance of not becoming addicted. She told me that the folks that often get addicted don't take them as prescribed. |

I know several people who do use them and really rely on them to go to sleep. I can not seem to fall asleep before 7am and have to be up by 11am so I only wish I could use them but they just make me dizzy. |

My sister uses melatonin supplements in lieu of pharmaceutical sleeping pills with great success. You can get melatonin supplements OTC at most natural food and drug stores. |
