Subject: | Severe scalding | |
Last week I was off from work for two days because I was sick, I recovered but last night I was scalded with boiling hot soup. I applied water first then some ice, but even now I have a burning sensation in the area. I will be visiting the pharmacy in a few minutes to get something topical and I may go the doctor later as well. |

How severe was the scalding? Did the area blister or just get red? If so, the doctor may need to remove some of the damaged tissue in order for healing to take place without infection. |

That's awful, I hope it will get better soon, it's a good idea to check in with your doctor, at least s/he will be able to prescribe or recommend something after properly examining the area. |

It is red and swollen now. There is also a vein near my palm that stands out. It's still hurting like crazy, the pharmacist looked at it and said I should see the doctor who will prescribe something. |
