Subject: | Reverse Culture Shock | |
Have any of you emigrated, and then moved home again at a later date? I hear that reverse culture shock can be an issue and am looking for tips to handle it. |

I moved from the UK to Spain, and would move back again, but this is an issue that concerns me. I don't actually expect anything to be different in the UK, but I am sure things are. That is why, if I do ever return, I shall go to a different part of the UK, then the shock may not be so great. |

I have not personally gone through this, but I have a very close friend that lived in Italy for a long time before coming back to the states and she went through a hard time adjusting to life back here in the states. I can not even imagine what this would be like if you were returning from a 3rd world country. |
