What are some things a person can do to help them overcome post-traumatic stress disorder (besides seeing a therapist...I am thinking home remedy type things)? |

I'm not sure there are things people can do to help them overcome this. I think it's important to see a doctor so that the problem is dealt with. We have seen too many news stories about women who don't take care of this- and end up committing horendous crimes. |

PTSD is often not curable. With medications and therapy they may be able to control it enough to live a somewhat normal life, but depending on the severity of the trauma it may always be an issue you need to deal with. It is often coupled with severe anxiety attacks, depression and agoraphobia when people don't seem to understand whats wrong with you. |

I am not sure there is anything apart from therapy that can be used to help treat this illness. There are however, many herbal remedies to help cope with stress and palpitations etc, that one may be able to use to help symptoms of anxiety. |
