Subject: Poison Ivy Wipes

Does anyone have any experience with these? My mom is coming out to visit us, and she is incredibly sensitive to poison ivy. I was going to get some of these wipes in case she gets in to contact with it, but I don't know if it works at all.

I have never used them. Mom used either milk or sour cream and let it dry. A neighbor swears by PInk lIfeboy soap.

I know someone who used a paste of lava soap

I use Aveeno for itch its a pink cream

anything that will dry it up and keep it from oozing should work.

Never have heard of the wipes but those sound like they would be worth the try and pretty convenient.

From what I have read about the new Poison Ivy Wipes, I think they will work really well. They are supposed to remove all the toxins on the skin, even before they start to react. Getting some for your Mom sounds like a wonderful idea!

Oh I have heard of those. The wipes make it so much easier from what my garndmother says, who always seems to get it about 3 times a year.

It seems like it would be a good idea but just make sure (as you would with baby wipes) to keep the container closed when not using to make sure they do not dry up or anything.

Where exactly were these things when I was growing up? I once managed p. oak, ivy and sumac at the same time.

What do you think?
