Do you keep their number on view in the house (if you have young kids) and have you ever had to call them? Was the service a help to you? |

I have it on speed dial, its something we did when I was a kid and it came in handy a couple of times. With our without kids its a good idea to keep either listed in your phonebook or somewhere anyone can find it right away. |

Yes, and yes! I have it stuck to my house phones, and I have it programmed in my cell. I had to call for my oldest, he ate a bunch of vitamin C chewables. My second ate some berries off a bush at my mom's house (ornamental Indian Hawthorn... not poisonous thankfully). And my third gave herself a couple doses of children's motrin at 18 months. At least I don't clean with chemicals! |

I have dogs and we have it on the fridge and the corded handset. My eldest has eaten ant traps and the youngest will eat anything he can fit in his mouth some days. I tend to watch labels and if it doesn't have ingredients on the cleaners I call the manufacturer to get that information by telling them I need to know what to tell the poison control center my dog may have swallowed. |

This is one number I started with when my sister had kids (before I had) and its been a blessing. Its always there just in case and ends up making any parent walking in happier knowing its in our home. |

I think there were a couple of generations that had it almost drilled into them that you always have the PC number listed at least three places in your house at all times. I remember we used to have those stickers that went on the phone. |
