Subject: | new viruses emerge as boig storms pass through | |
I noticed an increae in viruses as bad weather pushes through, like IKE. we cought only the side or edge of tehs torm as it tracked north, but it seemed to have broughtwith it a new stiomach flu. Almost everyone is coming down with it. You start out with joint pain and cahes, then progresss ot stomach cramping, stomach and intestine gurgling and then the runs for a day or two then sponateneous projectile viomiting, accompanied with a fever and severe headache and sensitivity to light and touch. the suration is between 5 and 7 days all togetrher. teh are calling it a fall flu. Othesr say its oculd be food posiioning. CDC hasnt issued a warning as of yet but as people get befallen by it I am sure they will. Taking stuff for it doesnt seem to help. You ahve to let it run its course. I took Tylenol PM for the pain and used cottonelle wipes for cleaning up. They helped. a warm bath with johnson and johnson lavender helped to ease the joint pain. Stay well. |

I have noticed that viruses are getting more intense these days. Maybe it is just me, but things could get even worse this weekend. |

I think the storms do things to the water causing bacteria to grow. When everything gets flooded it affects the sewer systems. |

I'm not sure how you can correlate a storm to mass food poisoning, but whatever. Many viruses are airborne and storms have been known to suck up things like frogs and deposit them miles away so its not impossible that its brought illness from another area to yours. If its flu based there's not much you can do to treat it, just the symptoms. |

I find the opposite happens, whenever there is a storm or hurricane, it seems to cleanse the land and make it a better cleaner and fresher. |

I sometimes think that we are only hearing more and more about those falling ill now than we did a decade ago from all the pollution. Everything is agitated, even Mother Nature who is lashing back at us now. |
